Lift Your Mood and Let Optimism Rule!

Drink your tea slowly
and
reverently,
as it is
the axis on which
the world earth
revolves -
slowly,
evenly,
without rushing
toward the future.

~Thich Nat Hahn

The most important thing

is to enjoy your life -

to be happy -

it's all that matters.

~ Audrey Hepburn

  3. My goodness, where have I been? I've missed all these posts.

Inspiring words, and lovely photos. Yes, so many things should be done much slower. I'll be working on that.

  5. Hi there, sweet lady! What a treat. The cups you are featuring are pretty. I like the quotes you shared. I think that is one of the reasons I adore drinking tea~ I embrace the ritual of slowing down, focusing on the task of boiling water and steeping the leaves while I enjoy some quiet moments alone or share some warm friendship with a companion. I am a 'half-full' kind of person and appreciate blessings, small and large. When I studied Urusenke (Japanese Tea Ceremony) my sensei taught us to observe the color, texture, shape and design of our tea ware, our food, our kettle...small things, that give joy!
    Have a great week,
    Shawn

  6. Beautiful sentiments! The two cups by Aynsley are totally different but the elegance is in the shape and gold accents. I have always enjoyed Audrey Hepburn and he words are very wise.

    Thanks, Pam

  8. Brenda,
I LOVE LOVE this tea quote!! Would you mind if I used it on our blog some time? How are you doing, dear? I hope you are enjoying this wonderful Fall season. I noticed the pink pumpkins the kids were making, how fun and festive. Jess just made some black lace pumpkins, and some said they were pretty and sexy hehe. Have a wonderful weekend.
